    Sigma Player of the Game, Brock Duckworth

    Myrtle Beach FC's first Sigma Sport Player of the Game heart rate monitor/sport watch award winner - Goalkeeper Brock Duckworth, is now the NPSL Player of the Week for his shut out performance, leadership and diving penalty kick save Vs. Rocket City United. #17 Duckworth had the fans on his side at Doug Shaw Memorial stadium as he handled the threats on his goal like a pro. Brock who wore Storelli gloves throughout the preseason wore them again Saturday night and they served the big keepers hands well. Brock posted his first shutout in the NPSL for 2012 and leads the team into Jacksonville, Florida May 19th to take on the defending NPSL Champions - Jacksonville United.     The Mutiny wins season opener!

    Opening night is an iconic event in sports, no matter which sport it is, the electricity, suspense, excitement and jitters are in the air. Myrtle Beach FC opening night didn't disappoint. The national anthem was sang amazingly by Jessica Marshall before The Mutiny's first NPSL regular season home game kicked off at 8pm to a rowdy family friendly crowd who was in the game every step of the way. MBFC's Shoreline Brass Band and a pair of Mutiny dancers entertained the crowd and raised the excitement level of an already pumped atmosphere. MBFC clearly had the advantage on the fast pitch taking it to Rocket City early. Omar Farih sent one over the goal, and then sent one to Max 'the Mooch' Weston who nearly finished the ball into goal.     Jamal Geathers and Omar Farih joins the Mutiny Crew!

    The big names continue to find their way to the Grand Strand to play for a Coach Thunder led Mutiny crew. Jamal Geathers the winger who scored the game winning goal to win the State championship in High School, and Clayton State University All-American and South Carolina Gamecock standout has signed for the Mutiny! The 6'0" winger will be moving to the back of Coach Thunder's defense. "I'm defensive minded, but attacking crazy. Myrtle Beach FC fresh off 2 rounds of competitive tryouts that saw more than 100 hopefuls tryout for the teams 1st season, announces it's first Home Friendly. Myrtle Beach FC brings back 40 hopefuls and a handful of specific invitees to "Training Camp" from February 27th-March 1st culminating in a match with Charleston Wolves Select FC. Myrtle Beach FC will bring 25-30 of the top players that Coach Thunder wants to see in a professional game situation. The preseason opener for Myrtle Beach FC is part of the YMCA's kick off of their Can-AM event which will have 80 youth teams play over the weekend at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.

Myrtle Beach FC will also play a preseason friendly Vs. Wilmington Hammerheads before opening up our NPSL regular season at home on May 5th Vs. Rocket City United from Alabama.

2 poCoach Thunder said "I'm excited with the talent level so far. Now the fun begins. Right now, we know the players have some ability from seeing them at the 1st two rounds of tryouts. I will work with guys, and evaluate if they are Coachable, quality players who can learn, adapt, and with training take their game to the next level. " Coach Thunder went through this process in the 90's after trying out for Charleston Battery and making their squad before going on to become their 1st ever Hall of Famer.

Over the summer we will offer a great value for your entertainment dollar with kids 10 and under free. It'll be a great entire family event.
