Myrtle Beach FC's first Sigma Sport Player of the Game heart rate monitor/sport watch award winner - Goalkeeper Brock Duckworth, is now the NPSL Player of the Week for his shut out performance, leadership and diving penalty kick save Vs. Rocket City United. #17 Duckworth had the fans on his side at Doug Shaw Memorial stadium as he handled the threats on his goal like a pro. Brock who wore Storelli gloves throughout the preseason wore them again Saturday night and they served the big keepers hands well. Brock posted his first shutout in the NPSL for 2012 and leads the team into Jacksonville, Florida May 19th to take on the defending NPSL Champions - Jacksonville United. The Mutiny wins season opener!

Opening night is an iconic event in sports, no matter which sport it is, the electricity, suspense, excitement and jitters are in the air. Myrtle Beach FC opening night didn't disappoint. The national anthem was sang amazingly by Jessica Marshall before The Mutiny's first NPSL regular season home game kicked off at 8pm to a rowdy family friendly crowd who was in the game every step of the way. MBFC's Shoreline Brass Band and a pair of Mutiny dancers entertained the crowd and raised the excitement level of an already pumped atmosphere. Jamal Geathers and Omar Farih joins the Mutiny Crew!

The big names continue to find their way to the Grand Strand to play for a Coach Thunder led Mutiny crew. Jamal Geathers the winger who scored the game winning goal to win the State championship in High School, and Clayton State University All-American and South Carolina Gamecock standout has signed for the Mutiny! The 6'0" winger will be moving to the back of Coach Thunder's defense. "I'm defensive minded, but attacking crazy. Jamal and team Captain Ben Allen give us some fire power from the back to make some runs" Myrtle Beach FC's leader stated.
